I decided to set out all the pictures in thumbnail form so you could look through them all at once. For me, it’s great seeing it all come together!
The rug is really close to being finished now, and I’m really pleased with the way it’s turning out! Fizz is already trying to sit on it Here are some more progress pics.

It looks a lot better in the photos than it does close up, it’s hard to see the design properly when you are working on it so it’s really good having these pics so I can see how it’s taking shape. I’m getting faster at the hooking (that just sounds wrong!) which I’m pleased about and it is very relaxing. Will post more pics as they come A very Merry Christmas! Santa was very good to me this year – I got Buffy and Angel comics, book tokens, some smellies, a couple of DVD boxsets, a pair of cute PJ’s amongst other things but the most amazing present I received was from Tony and I totally love them. I opened up one box and inside were an exquisite pair of silver celtic drop earrings which were beautiful and to top that, another box contained a delicate silver celtic necklace with an amethyst gem. I was actually speechless and may have cried a little… don’t tell anyone tho! And yes I might have worn my pink PJ’s and the jewellery all day Thankyou so much Tony, I don’t know how I got so lucky to be your wife but I am happy about it every day Fizz had a whale of a time playing with the wrapping paper and made us laugh by picking her way carefully into the middle of the pile and making herself comfortable.
Bubbles felt it was all beneath her and took up residence on one of Tony’s toolboxes.
After finishing my latest cross-stitch project (Lady and Unicorn – I will get some pics up soon) I was wondering what to do. Sometimes It gets a bit much jumping from one cross-stitch to another, so I wanted to do something different in between. I’d bought a latch-hook rug kit a couple of years ago but it had languished in my overflowing project wardrobe ever since and while I was going through my options, Tony took it down (I’m a short arse and it was up high!) and suggested it. It’s by The Craft Collection Ltd and is the Cats and Mice Rug Kit and it is really cute I realised after I’d finished about 6 lines up the side that I’d used the wrong colours for the mice so had to take out the wrong colour and put the right ones back in. I’ve done the two bottom ones so far and still need to do the two top. Doh!
Will take another picture the next time I work on it What do you get a cat that has everything?  I haz a box! It took Fizz about 5 seconds of me putting the box on the floor, to set up shop and she stayed there for quite a while looking very proud of herself Too. Cute. |
