I’ve been working hard on the rug, just slacking on posting pictures ;)   I’ve found it much easier doing it, with it spread on my desk so I’ve been watching DVD’s on my PC – Watched Season 3 of Bones, Season 1 of The Dresden Files and am continuing through my Buffy boxsets (on season 4 currently).  It’s been really nice just watching them as I work :)

Anyway, enough wittering, here are some pics!

almost a whole cat done one cat finished 2 cats almost finished

It looks a lot better in the photos than it does close up, it’s hard to see the design properly when you are working on it so it’s really good having these pics so I can see how it’s taking shape.

More pics soon!

This morning Tony asked me…

“Is this how you would expect zombie intestines to look?”

He was asking about one of his miniatures he’d painted which was superb, but still… not a question I ever thought I’d be asked  ;)

He’s keeping a diary of painting on his blog here – it’s well worth checking out! :)

A couple of photos of the progress – it doesn’t look like much but it was quite a lot of work honest :)   I like the last one the best as you can start to see the picture forming.

Mistake corrected and design continued

The mistake is fixed

End of next session

End of next session

And end of today’s session!

Can start to see a kitty

I’m getting faster at the hooking (that just sounds wrong!) which I’m pleased about and it is very relaxing.  Will post more pics as they come :)

After finishing my latest cross-stitch project (Lady and Unicorn – I will get some pics up soon) I was wondering what to do.  Sometimes It gets a bit much jumping from one cross-stitch to another, so I wanted to do something different in between.

I’d bought a latch-hook rug kit a couple of years ago but it had languished in my overflowing project wardrobe ever since and while I was going through my options, Tony took it down (I’m a short arse and it was up high!) and suggested it.

It’s by The Craft Collection Ltd and is the Cats and Mice Rug Kit and it is really cute :)   I suspect it will become the cats rug once finished but that’s OK, I like to make things to be used!

I realised after I’d finished about 6 lines up the side that I’d used the wrong colours for the mice so had to take out the wrong colour and put the right ones back in.  I’ve done the two bottom ones so far and still need to do the two top.  Doh!

Will take another picture the next time I work on it :)
